BLOG: You Can Be a Masterpiece AND a Work In Progress At The Same Time

“You can be a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time.” Someone I know wrote that in an online comment post recently. And, WOW, did it hit me. I mean, WOW – do I love that!

You are a Masterpiece. You are. And, you are a Work in Progress. You can be both at the same time.

You are perfectly imperfect. You are deliciously complex. You are light and dark. You are beautiful, and you are flawed. You are powerful and strong, and you are vulnerable and fragile. You can be confident and believe in yourself, and you can have moments of self-doubt at the same time.

Because you are a living masterpiece of a creation, and you are also an ever-evolving, ever-improving, and ever-growing work in progress. You are both at the same time.

I think the same is true of our dreams, and goals, and visions, and passions, and our own creations – the ones we’ve already manifested, and the ones we have yet to realize. They are, like you, and like all of us, masterpieces and works in progress at the same time.

So continue to work on your masterpieces! Continue to dream. Continue to create. Continue to build. Continue to learn. And, continue to grow. Never stop. Never quit. When you fall or fail, get up and start again. And then, continue again. Continue to build your visions, to manifest your dreams, to achieve your goals, to become your best self, and continue to Seize Your Passion!

Passionately,

Rachel

I agree totally. I like how you tie up the package so neatly with how we are both, without doing anything, a work in progress and a masterpiece. I know there is not reference to the Bible, but if you look at Ephesians 2:10 – it’s all right there. Masterpiece . . . to do good things. To do indicates that we have not yet arrived. Thank you for your article.

Even a swamp or a desert can be a masterpiece given the right frame of mind. Even the most desolate places have beauty in them.
